We wanted to share a quick update about the houses in two villages whose roofs were torn off by huge wind gusts.
With your contributions, we were able to purchase over 240 corrugated steel sheets which were used to replace the roofs on many homes in two of the villages we work in.
The corrugated steel sheets are a great choice to replace the damaged roofs with because corrugated steel is highly strong and durable due to the wavy structure giving the metal sheets large surface area. These can survive any impact from fall of pebbles or objects on the roof. The corrugated steel roofs are highly resistant to extreme weather conditions like the wind gusts that damaged the other roofs.
These pictures show the houses with their new corrugated steel roofs. We love the shiny steel against the green background. Not only are the roofs durable, but they also look great!
We also wanted to take a moment to give an extra special thank you to the people who contributed during a time of extreme need. Your quick response made a big difference and made a positive impact on the lives of those who received the new roofs.
